Please see the attached Form and note the upcoming change in the Student-Athlete Travel Release Form for the Athletics Department. This Form is used when a parent/guardian is requesting a student-athlete not return from an away competition with the team on the school-provided transportation due to an extreme circumstance (appointment, time restriction between sports, etc.). 

Beginning January 2025, any student-athlete who makes this request must get this Form signed by either a building administrator or the building athletic coordinator. A coach can not excuse the student-athlete from returning to their home school with the team. This applies to both middle and high school athletics.

This change is meant to assist with the continuation of building team camaraderie and sportsmanship, as well as aiding in the maintenance of safety and partnership among athletics and their families. 

This Form must be signed by the appropriate parties and given to a coach 24 hours in advance from the excusal.
