National Junior Honor Society

The Northeast Middle School Chapter of the
National Junior Honor Society

To be eligible for membership in the Northeast Middle School Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society a student must have obtained High Honors for each marking period of the previous school year and must demonstrate the qualities of character, citizenship, service and leadership as determined by vote of the NJHS Faculty Council. If students are academically eligible, they are notified in the fall. A formal induction ceremony is held in the fall and spring of each year for those students selected by the Faculty Council. Recent NJHS Activities:
  • Soup Night - raise money for BCO Fuel and Food Bank .
  • Annual Northeast Talent Show
  • Attend State Conference - Connecticut Association of National Honor Societies
  • American Cancer Society Fundraiser
  • Babysitting for Conferences and Open House
  • Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF) Food/Collecting Supplies
  • Giving speeches and tours for students for 6th grade orientation
